Terms governing the use of this website.
This English translation is provided for reference. In case of any discrepancy, the original Korean version prevails.
These Terms set out the conditions and procedures for using the services provided by Gangnam Seoyon Plastic Surgery Clinic (hereinafter "the Clinic"), as well as the rights, obligations, and responsibilities of the Clinic and its users.
(1) These Terms become effective when posted to users.
(2) The Clinic may modify these Terms when changes in circumstances or material business reasons arise; modified Terms become effective by the same method as set forth in the preceding paragraph.
Matters not specified in these Terms shall be governed by applicable laws and regulations.
A "Member" refers to an individual recognized by the Clinic as eligible for membership, who has agreed to these Terms, completed the membership form, and been issued an "ID" and "Password."
(1) Membership is established when the Clinic accepts the user's application and the user agrees to these Terms.
(2) Persons wishing to register as members must provide the personal information requested by the Clinic.
(3) When the Clinic accepts a user's application, it shall notify the user of the Member ID and any other information the Clinic deems necessary.
(4) The ID entered upon registration cannot be changed; only one ID is issued per person.
(5) The Clinic shall not accept membership applications that fall under any of the following:
a. Applications submitted under another person's name;
b. Applications not submitted under the applicant's real name;
c. Applications containing false information;
d. Applications submitted with the intent to disrupt public order or social morals.
(1) Services are in principle provided 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, unless there are special operational or technical reasons.
(2) Service hours under the preceding paragraph may be restricted upon prior notice to members when necessary, such as for routine system maintenance.
(3) Online consultations may not be available 24 hours a day depending on the personal circumstances of the responding staff.
(1) Services are available free of charge to all registered members.
(2) If the Clinic begins charging for services, it shall publish the timing, policy, and fees in the service in advance of implementation.
(1) Members wishing to withdraw from the service must request termination directly to the operator via email.
(2) When applying for withdrawal, the member must provide identifying information (name, resident registration number, ID, phone number, and reason for withdrawal). After verification against the registration record, the membership will be terminated.
(3) Withdrawal is confirmed when login with the existing ID and password is no longer possible.
(1) A user who has withdrawn from the service under Article 1 and wishes to re-register may submit a re-registration request directly to the operator via email.
(2) When requesting re-registration, the member must provide identifying information (name, resident registration number, ID, and phone number).
(3) Re-registration is confirmed when login with the existing ID and password is successful.
The Clinic may terminate the user agreement without prior notice or suspend service use for a specified period if a member engages in any of the following:
a. Acting against public order or social morals;
b. Engaging in criminal activity;
c. Planning or carrying out service use with the intent to harm national or public interests;
d. Misappropriating another person's ID or password;
e. Damaging the reputation of others or causing them harm;
f. Registering multiple accounts under different IDs as the same user;
g. Harming the service or otherwise impeding its sound use;
h. Otherwise violating relevant laws or terms of use established by the Clinic.
(1) The Clinic makes its best effort to maintain security so that consultation content is not disclosed to third parties other than the consulting physician and service administrators. However, the Clinic shall not be liable in the following cases:
a. Consultation content disclosed due to password leakage caused by user negligence;
b. Consultation deleted by the user via the "Delete" function;
c. Consultation content disclosed or lost due to natural disasters or other circumstances beyond the Clinic's control.
(2) For comprehensive and appropriate responses to member consultations, staff may refer to consultation contents and answers.
(3) Consultation content may be used for the following purposes after personal information has been removed:
a. Academic activities;
b. Authoring activities such as printed materials and CD-ROMs;
c. As part of service content such as FAQs and recommended consultations.
(4) Consultation responses are subjective opinions based on each staff member's knowledge and do not represent the official opinion of the Clinic.
(5) Online consultation may be wholly or partially withheld in the following cases:
a. When the same consultation is submitted repeatedly;
b. When consultations are submitted using inappropriate language.
(1) Content provided through the service is general and overview-level information, intended for informational purposes only. Information or consultations provided through the service can never replace medical diagnosis. They are in no way intended to replace medical diagnosis, treatment, or care. If you have questions or concerns about your health, please consult a qualified medical professional in person. Under no circumstances should you ignore a doctor's diagnosis or delay diagnosis, treatment, or care because of information provided through the service.
(2) The Clinic does not recommend any specific test, product, or treatment mentioned in the service. All opinions expressed are those of the consulting physicians. The Clinic accepts no liability for any document or consultation content provided through the service.
(3) Whether to accept the information of this service, the opinions of participating physicians, or those of other members or visitors is entirely at the user's discretion. The Clinic shall therefore not be liable for any damages, injuries, or other adverse outcomes arising from the use of any product, information, idea, or instruction provided to members.
(1) The Clinic shall make services available to members unless special circumstances prevent it.
(2) The Clinic has the obligation to provide services continuously and stably as set forth in these Terms.
(3) The Clinic shall handle opinions raised through proper procedures by members through appropriate processes; if processing requires time, the Clinic shall inform the member of the reason and timeline.
(1) The member is responsible for all management of their ID and password.
(2) Members agree to receive service emails sent as part of the service.
(3) If a member's ID is used fraudulently, the member must notify the Clinic immediately.
(4) The Clinic shall not sell or provide personally identifiable information to third parties unrelated to the Clinic without the member's or user's prior consent. However, the Clinic may use voluntarily provided registration information in the following cases:
a. Providing developers with information needed to develop new features, information, or services useful to members;
b. Providing advertisers with statistical information about service members and user groups (in no case revealing the identity of individual members);
c. Use by the Clinic to deliver advertising or services aligned with member and user preferences.
(5) Personally identifiable information (such as username, ID, or email address) may be voluntarily disclosed in communication spaces such as bulletin boards (hereinafter "communication spaces"). In such cases, disclosed information may be collected, associated, and used by third parties, and the user may receive unwanted messages from third parties. The Clinic cannot control such activities by third parties. Accordingly, the Clinic makes no warranty regarding the discoverability of member information through means beyond its control.
(6) The Clinic may use cookie technology for user convenience. A cookie is a small text file used by websites to identify returning users and assist with continued access and personalized service. Cookies typically work by assigning users a unique number that has no meaning outside the issuing site. Cookies do not intrude into the user's system and are not harmful to user files. The Clinic cannot prevent service advertisers or related third parties from using cookies. Members or users who do not wish to have information collected via cookies may control whether to accept cookies in their web browser. However, cookies may be required for the service (especially personalized features) to function properly.
(7) The Clinic may share or use member information among the service or its business partners.
(1) Disputes regarding service use, except those provided for in these Terms, shall be resolved through mutual agreement to the fullest extent possible.
(2) Any litigation arising from service use shall be filed in the court having jurisdiction over the location of the Clinic.
These Terms take effect on October 6, 2020.
