Removal alone is rarely the answer.
"Lower-lid fat is rarely something to simply remove. Repositioning it and reinforcing the septum is what allows the under-eye to read as natural."
— Director Choi Dong-Il
A brighter, smoother under-eye for a more rested, younger look.
Lower blepharoplasty corrects the protruding or sunken under-eye that develops when lower-lid fat shifts out of place over time. By repositioning the fat, the bulging area is smoothed and the hollow above it is filled, while dark circles caused by the resulting shadow improve in the same step — producing a cleaner, brighter, younger-looking eye.

Four clinical situations where Gangnam Seoyon's lower blepharoplasty is the appropriate choice.

Dark circles that make the

A hollow, shadowed

Fine under-eye lines
that age the face
The two concerns we hear most often about lower blepharoplasty are flattening of the lower-lid roll (the soft fullness just below the lash line, often called aegyo-sal) and loss of skin tone from removing too much fat. We work to preserve the lid roll while restoring a more dimensional under-eye, and add septal reinforcement so the result holds its smoother, brighter contour over the long term.
If a previous procedure didn't deliver, we identify the underlying reason first and build a plan around it.
The incision is kept inconspicuous and the septum is reinforced to hold the result in place over time.
The right technique depends on the type of lower-lid change. Two approaches, matched to the underlying problem.
Approached from the inner conjunctiva, with no visible external scar
Lower-lid fat is addressed through the inner conjunctiva, which means there is no visible scar on the skin. Even within this approach, the technique still has to be matched to the type of lower-lid change to get the right result.
Lower-lid fat sits forward, giving a puffy, bulging look beneath the eye.
Fat repositioning + septal reinforcement — the medial volume is filled to soften the contour, with the septum reinforced to prevent recurrence.
Lower-lid bags combined with a hollowed, sunken midface that reads as drawn or tired.
Fat repositioning + septal reinforcement + fat grafting — when the midface still reads as hollow after repositioning, fat grafting restores the missing volume.

For loose lower-lid skin, or when a midface lift is also needed
Used when the lower lid carries loose skin or the midface needs to be lifted at the same time. Loose skin and protruding fat are addressed in one procedure.
