Less about a bigger eye than a more rested one.
"Aging blepharoplasty is rarely just about what's visible on the surface. The skin, the fat, and the underlying muscle have to be read together — that's what allows the result to settle naturally."
— Director Choi Dong-Il
An integrated approach that smooths the changes of aging and restores a more open, rested eye.
Aging blepharoplasty addresses the changes that come with the gradual loss of skin elasticity over time. By correcting heavy, drooping upper lids or protruding lower-lid bags, we restore a smoother contour and a more youthful, rested look.
It also addresses the practical problems that often come with these changes — a narrowed field of vision and lashes that turn inward and irritate the eye.

From surgery time to return to daily life — at a glance.
Six clinical situations where Gangnam Seoyon's aging blepharoplasty is the appropriate choice.
Loss of elasticity with
drooping upper or lower lids
A narrowed field of view
or chronically watery eyes
Lashes that turn inward
and irritate the eye
Lower-lid bags
that protrude visibly
Pronounced lines
under the eyes
Dark circles that make
the face look tired
This is true of every eyelid surgery, but especially of aging blepharoplasty: the right plan cannot be made from the surface alone. How loose the skin is, how thick it is, how much fat sits beneath it, and the condition of the surrounding muscle all have to be evaluated together. A method matched to that whole picture is what produces a result that looks both younger and natural.
Director Choi personally handles the consultation and follow-up, drawing on a long catalog of cases.
Skin, fat, and muscle are evaluated together, and the right combination of upper, lower, and brow procedures is recommended.
Heavy upper lids, protruding lower-lid bags, a shortened brow-to-eye distance — three approaches matched to the underlying problem.
Drooping upper lids, lash irritation, and narrowed vision — addressed in one procedure
Heavy upper lids are restored to a more youthful contour while the practical problems — inward-turning lashes and a narrowed field of view — are addressed at the same time. In older patients the levator muscle has often loosened or detached from the tarsal plate, and returning it to its proper position is essential to a stable, long-term result.
Fat repositioning + septal reinforcement + midface suspension for a brighter under-eye
Protruding lower-lid bags are addressed with fat repositioning and reinforcement of the orbital septum, while loose skin is corrected through midface suspension. The two are performed together to produce a smooth, brighter under-eye.
For a wide brow-to-eye distance combined with significant upper-lid heaviness
Used when the distance between the brow and the eye is wide and the upper lid sits heavy. When a fuller upper-lid pad needs to be addressed at the same time, it is often combined with upper blepharoplasty.
