Lecture in Indonesia — Natural Upper Blepharoplasty with Minimal Swelling, and Lower Blepharoplasty That Preserves the Aegyo-sal

It has been a while since I posted.

Looking back at 2021, it was a packed year.

The Indonesian meeting had originally been planned for 2020, in Bandung. COVID pushed it indefinitely. Then in April we got a sudden message that it was on, and we put the talk together quickly.

The invitation email read as follows.

Presenting and taking questions in English carries its own pressure, but this was the debut.

First slide of the talk.

I lectured on both upper and lower blepharoplasty.

On the upper lid, the focus was achieving a natural look while keeping swelling minimal.

On the lower lid, an anatomy review and the techniques that produce a younger-looking result.

I covered the approach for preserving the aegyo-sal (lower-lid roll) intact.

In some cases, the aegyo-sal even becomes more pronounced after a lower blepharoplasty.

Their introduction of my background.

The colleague in the hijab is also a physician.

That's me with the headphones on.

The serious-looking gentleman in front is the session chair.
