"Filial-piety surgery" is a phrase that has been going around lately. It refers to procedures that grown children pay for so a parent can address sagging, eye irritation at the lateral corner, or a tired, aged appearance. To put it more clinically, the patients come in for upper-eyelid sagging. The procedure removes the redundant skin above the eye.

For the lower eyelid, the situation looks like this.

Sutures usually come out around day seven. The bulk of the swelling subsides in one to two weeks, and the eye continues to refine over the months that follow. There are more photos at www.knsy.co.kr.
