Hello. This is Dr. Choi Dong-Il. I currently serve as secretary of the Eyelid Surgery Study Group, a subcommittee of the Korean Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons (KSPRS). It is one of the oldest study groups in the society, with a roster of dedicated members. There are colleagues I deeply respect and junior surgeons I am proud to mentor. At this meeting I gave a talk on the pitfalls of incisional ptosis correction. Managing complications matters, but preventing them in the first place matters more.

When I present at a symposium, I end up studying more than I would otherwise. I learn new things, and I get the chance to have any misconceptions corrected through discussion with my colleagues. It is one of the best mechanisms for continuing to improve.

The symposium is held every two years. This year was the 13th edition.

The title of my talk.
