Today I want to talk about male double-eyelid surgery, including the hidden double-fold ptosis correction commonly done for male patients. There used to be a reflexive view in Korea that a man with a visible crease looked too sharp or oily. Times have changed, and men are more invested in their appearance now. That said, men typically do not want a high-set crease. The Hong Kong actors I grew up admiring had high creases that worked on screen, but that look does not translate to Korean tastes.

Handsome guy, though. A still from "A Better Tomorrow." Korean men generally want the eye opened up but the crease itself almost invisible.

Like the patient pictured. This post draws on the paper of mine that was just published in Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (the ASAPS journal).
