Revision clinic selection checklist
✅ Does a board-certified plastic surgeon perform the operation personally?
Revision is a highly demanding surgery. Be sure to verify the surgeon's specialist qualifications and whether the director operates personally.
✅ Do they have abundant experience dedicated to revision surgery?
Check whether they have experience with high-difficulty cases such as the scar-preserving high fold correction (the "two-line" technique), retraction-correction surgery, and improving severe multiple-fold eyelids. General double-eyelid surgery and revision are completely different.
✅ Do they analyze the cause of the failure first during the consultation?
A good clinic puts cause analysis before surgery. Check whether, during the consultation, they explain why the previous surgery failed and how they will correct it.
✅ Does the director who consulted with you perform the surgery personally?
Be cautious if the consulting director and the operating director are different. Be sure to confirm there is a 1:1 dedicated system from consultation through surgery.
✅ Is the operating-room environment transparent?
Check the transparency of the surgical environment, such as whether CCTV is installed.
✅ Do they recommend only the surgery you actually need?
See whether they avoid pushing unnecessary add-on procedures and propose only the methods suited to your eye condition.
