It is winter, the season when cosmetic surgery is at its busiest~
Perhaps it is the expectation that wounds heal well in the cold,
and that there will be no inflammation.
Above all, it is the season with school holidays, which students
who want to hide post-operative bruising and swelling as much as possible
often choose as the time for their surgery~
As you saw above, we have put together photographs
of patients having their first cosmetic surgery!
Since eye surgery is usually the first operation people have,
when a first-time double eyelid patient comes to us we are all the more meticulous,
performing a first operation that will never need a revision.
If you look at the photographs, what they all had in common
was eyes without a fold~
There is a lot to be said for how attractive single eyelids are,
but since people with double eyelids
appear so often on television,
it seems we naturally end up imagining
ourselves with a fold! haha
Some patients prefer the buried-suture method for a first operation,
but for those with severe eyelid drooping, or
those with a lot of fat in the eyelids and skin with
good elasticity, the incisional method is far better~
Add epicanthoplasty on top of that where appropriate, and you get
an even more open and beautiful double eyelid~
The patients in the photographs also had incisional double eyelid surgery
together with epicanthoplasty, after careful design!!
