Hello~ this is Gangnam Seoyon Plastic Surgery :)
What comes to mind when you think of Gangnam Seoyon?
Various words have probably popped into your head~
Among them, many of you likely thought of eye revision surgery.
Prospective first-time surgery patients, raise your hands!
The many different surgical methods can make your head spin.
Still, those of you who have just become interested in double-eyelid surgery will at least know this much.
Ding-ding-ding!
That's right~
Double-eyelid surgery is broadly divided
into these types :)
Today, we'll talk about the incision method.
Every so often, there are first-time patients who think like this.
That's not true!
Let go of the myth that the non-incision method is always better than the incision method for a first surgery!
Both methods have their pros and cons :)
"I was recommended the incision method, but..."
For these people, going with the non-incision method carries a very high chance that the fold will come undone :(
After going through the trouble of surgery, it would be really upsetting if the fold came undone, wouldn't it?
Not only people with a lot of fat, but also those with firm or tough skin are well suited to the incision method.
Compared with the non-incision method, the incision method allows fat to be reduced and muscle to be removed more appropriately~
It does have the drawback of slower recovery than the non-incision method, but the incision method rarely comes undone!
Every so often, there are people like this.
People whose eyelids have become droopy from using double-eyelid tape or glue since childhood.
For droopy eyes like these, surgery must use the incision method to achieve a pretty double eyelid :)
If the drooping skin is not removed, you may end up with sausage-like eyes or a straight-line fold :(
For people with hollow (sunken) eyes, the solutions include upper-eyelid fat grafting or incisional double-eyelid surgery~
Because the incision method lets the surgeon operate while directly viewing the inside of the eyelid, a more precise surgery is possible.
That's not true!
The incision method does not always produce an outer (out-line) fold :)
A thin fold, like an inner double eyelid, is also possible, so don't worry!
It is true that the incision method has a slower recovery than the non-incision method,
but at Gangnam Seoyon, surgery by our skilled medical team minimizes scarring.
Just as everyone's features are different,
the amount of fat, orbicularis oculi muscle, and pretarsal tissue that needs to be removed differs from person to person.
