This material is from a talk I gave at Gangnam Severance Hospital on June 28, 2014.

Beautiful eyes depend on a number of proportions, but having the medial corner unobstructed matters quite a bit. Epicanthal folds come in a range of shapes depending on how we classify them.

When the lacrimal lake is too exposed, the result looks slightly off.

The talk addressed exactly that issue.

The certificate of appreciation I received that day. The core of the technique was minimizing scar, keeping the corner from rounding off, and making the steps reproducible enough that other surgeons can follow them. I heard from a junior colleague that the recording of the talk is being sold as a teaching video.

I know and use several techniques, but this is my preferred approach. Other methods work well too. The most important thing is the patient's specific anatomy, and the trust between patient and surgeon.
